Present there were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Vice-Premier Ri Ryong Nam, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Kim Il Guk, officials concerned, active officials in the mass sports work, participants of the contest and cheering squads and Pyongyangites.

There will be professional sports games, mass sports games and sports amusement games among working people of various circles, housewives, school youth and children and sportspersons selected in Pyongyang and each province (municipality) during the sports contest.
