Message of Sympathy to Indonesian President

Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Monday sent a message of sympathy to Joko Widodo, president of the Republic of Indonesia, as regards a strong earthquake and tsunami that hit Central Sulawesi Province of Indonesia, claiming hundreds of lives.

The message expressed deep condolences to the Indonesian president and, through him, to the victims and the bereaved families.

It hoped that the Indonesian government would eradicate the aftermath of the quake as early as possible and make an achievement in the work to help the people in the affected area return to normal life.
