Efforts Paid to General Secondary Education in DPRK
Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) ? Big efforts have been paid to the general secondary education in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The Education Commission has taken due measures to upgrade the programs for the universal 12-year compulsory education, put the education on a practical, comprehensive and modern basis and improve the standard of teaching by adhering to the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and encouraging theoretical explanation in plain language, so as to generalize advanced education methods throughout the country.

Schools in Pyongyang have created more heuristics by applying virtual reality, educational estimation and appraisal and other technologies.

In particular, it gains momentum to generalize the experience gained by Ryulgok Senior Middle School in Songyo District that has created 10-odd practical and advantageous education methods.

Meanwhile, it is being pushed forward to improve the qualification of teachers through reeducation, training course and tele-education.

In keeping with the establishment of technical senior middle schools for different fields, it has been carried out according to a well thought-out plan to provide them with full material and technical conditions ranging from preparation of educational programs to writing, publishing and supplying of textbooks and reference books.

And preparations for distance examination for students of graduating classes at senior middle schools are being made at the final stage in scores of cites and counties.
