The publication of the declaration is another progress made on the road to the reunification of the Korean Peninsula, and this gives great joy to the whole Korean nation as it shows the way for the joint development of the north and the south.

It is natural that the Korean people work hard to realize peace and prosperity by their own efforts without any interference by outsiders.

We are sure that the entire Korean nation in the north and the south will certainly build a reunified country by their concerted efforts.

We will give wide publicity to the proposals advanced by President Kim Il Sung and HE Kim Jong Il for national reunification and the successes being made in the DPRK under the guidance of HE Kim Jong Un.
