Kim Jong Un received a message of greeting from Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on October 2.

The Syrian president in his message extended the warmest congratulations to Kim Jong Un on behalf of the Syrian Arab people and for his part on the occasion of October 10, 2018, the 73rd founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The message wished Kim Jong Un bigger progress, victory and success.

The revolutionary mass parties, which are struggling for the victory of their national causes, deeply rooted among the popular masses including workers, peasants and intellectuals, are building prosperous countries and defending their independence and sovereignty by depending on their peoples in the face of all challenges, the message said.

The message highly appreciated that the DPRK led by the WPK is supporting the Syrian people in their struggle against all terrorists of the world.

Noting that the struggle for combating terrorism in Syria has reached its final phase, the message expressed conviction that Syria would surely achieve a victory in the struggle against all sorts of terrorism, aggression and colonialist forces.
