Ryo Hye Jong, vice-chairperson of the Central Committee of the union, made a report which was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that Kim Jong Il's election to the top post of the WPK is a historic event as it serves as a turning occasion in developing the Party into one of the leader and ever-victorious iron-willed one guiding the era of Juche.

They noted that all the agricultural workers and members of the union should hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem as eternal head of the WPK and take his idea and exploits of building the party as sure guideline and all-powerful treasured sword.

They underscored the need to dynamically struggle for the development of the Party and a final victory with the single-minded unity and might of self-reliance and self-development, closely united around Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
