Chairman Kim Jong Il's Exploits Praised by Romanian Figure

Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party of Romania who is chairman of the Romanian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, issued a statement on Oct. 2 ahead of the 21st anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 73rd birthday of the WPK.

Extending congratulations to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK, on the eventful holidays of October, the statement said:

Comrade Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary was a noteworthy event in the history of the WPK.

Comrade Kim Jong Il, who creditably carried forward the idea and cause of Comrade Kim Il Sung, performed great exploits in the cause of party building through his energetic activities for the development of the WPK into an invincible revolutionary Party.

After the demise of Comrade Kim Il Sung, he held higher the banner of socialism and led the Party to victory.

Under the leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the WPK today is vigorously advancing toward brighter future.
