Also watching the game were the sports delegation of the People's Republic of China headed by Gou Zhongwen, minister of the General Administration of Sports, Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy, Chinese guests and Chinese students in the DPRK.

When the players of the two countries entered the stadium, spectators warmly welcomed them with loud applauses.

Prior to the game, Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, said that the games would contribute to deepening the friendship and solidarity of sportspersons and peoples of the two countries, noting that he ardently welcomes the sports delegation of the PRC which visits the DPRK at a time when the friendly relations between the DPRK and China are developing onto a new high stage.

Minister Gou Zhongwen expressed expectation that the friendship games would give joy to the Korean people who are greeting the 73rd founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea, saying that the visit to the DPRK by the delegation will strengthen the friendly relations between China and the DPRK, promote cooperation and exchange in the sports field of the two countries and lend a greater impetus to the development of sports of the two countries.

In the games, divided into teams named Friendship and Solidarity, the players of both teams had exciting games by using colorful tactics in close concert with one another.

The rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics demonstration of DPRK sportspersons at a break revved up the atmosphere of the sports ground.

The team named Solidarity won the game.

Officials of the party and government, leading members of the Chinese sports delegation and the Chinese ambassador met the players and congratulated them on their successful game.

The women basketball players of the two countries posed for a souvenir photo with the feelings of friendship.
