The magnificent theatre on the bank of the River Pothong is a world-class live sound theatre with all conditions for art creation and performance and view.

Its inaugural ceremony took place on Wednesday.

Present there were Pak Kwang Ho, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, An Tong Chun, chairman of the C.C., General Federation of the Unions of Art and Literature of Korea (GFUALK), Ma Won Chun, department director of the State Affairs Commission, members of the Party Central Committee, executive members of the C.C., GFUALK, officials, creators and artistes of the Samjiyon Orchestra, employees of the theatre, and officers and men of the Korean People's Army unit which took part in the construction of the theatre, teachers and researchers of Pyongyang University of Architecture and creators and artistes in the field of arts.

Pak Kwang Ho made an opening address to be followed by speeches.

At the end of the ceremony the officials and artistes of the Samjiyon Orchestra and employees of the theatre entered the theatre.

The participants made round of the theatre.

They were briefed on the live sound theatre before listening to the rendition by the Samjiyon Orchestra.
