Referring to the significance of the recent inter-Korean summit meeting and talks, the Japan Matsumoto Citizens Council for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea said:

The summit discussed the matters for putting the north-south relations on a new stage, which is another big stride for the reunification of Korea.

All these successes are a result of Chairman Kim Jong Un's energetic activities.

We urge the Japanese government to stop immediately the hostile policy toward the DPRK and go for normalization of Japan-DPRK diplomatic relations.

The Japan Nagano Prefectural People's Council for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea called on all the relevant countries to make efforts for durable peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.

The Japanese Women's Society for Solidarity with the Korean Women said that the "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration" makes people clearly see the will of Chairman Kim Jong Un to ensure peace on the Korean peninsula. We will intensify the activities for supporting the Korean people's struggle for national reunification, it noted.

The Gunma Prefectural People's Council for Japan-Korea Friendship and Solidarity backed the historic "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration", expressing its will to contribute to the thorough implementation of the declaration.
