Attending the event were Kim Chil Song, chairman of the confederation, and its members and compatriots.

Also participating in the seminar were Baklanov, advisor to the vice-chairman of the Russian Federation Council, figures of all social standings including the academic and press circles, members of the Russia-DPRK Friendship Association, the Russian Group for Solidarity with the DPRK, the Moscow City Veterans' Association and the Juche idea study organizations, and teachers and students of the college.

Present there on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Russia and his embassy officials.

Prior to the seminar, the participants watched a slide show made by the confederation to mark the anniversary.

It showed historic scenes of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il visiting the former Soviet Union and Russia. It showed photos of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's meeting the chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council and the Russian foreign minister.

It also showed photos of the embassies of the two countries in Pyongyang and Moscow and the history of the bilateral relations.

The DPRK ambassador to Russia made a congratulatory speech.

Then speeches were made by the chairman of the confederation, the advisor to the vice-chairman of the Russian Federation Council, the vice-president of the college, senior researcher of the Center for Korean Study of the Institute of the Far East under the Russian Academy of Sciences, etc.

At the end of the seminar there was an art performance of members of the confederation.
