According to an official concerned, soldier-builders in charge of the section successfully drove the tunnel without deviation in a short span of time by displaying the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance, full of enthusiasm to take the lead in materializing the grand plan of the Workers' Party of Korea for building an economic power.

They introduced advanced blasting methods like directional blasting into linking several working pits with the pilot tunnel and carried out continuous drilling and blasting.

Encouraged by the feats performed by soldier-builders in tunneling the section, all the builders of the Tanchon Power Station have made fresh successes in the construction through a dynamic drive to attain the goals of the five-year strategy for national economic development.
