Newspaper Blames Japanese Reactionaries for Insult to Victims of Sexual Slavery
|

Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, a right-wing organization of Japan visited Taiwan of China, with intent to protest against the erection of the first statue of girl sexual slave there in August last and give so-called debate on the sexual slavery issue. What merits serious attention is that the head of the organization kicked the statue. Commenting on the fact, Rodong Sinmun Thursday brands this as a reckless act of insulting justice, truth, human ethics and conscience. The Japanese reactionaries' denial of the sexual slavery crime and insult to the victims are an open challenge to justice, truth and human conscience and a revelation of their design to repeat the past crimes, the commentary says, and goes on: Japan's liquidation of its past is the demand of the international community. Japan is sadly mistaken if it thinks it can go against the demand. The more Japan denies its past crimes, the more statues of girl sexual slave will be erected. It is the legal obligation and moral responsibility to make an apology and reparation for the crimes. If Japan wants to appear upright before the international community, free from the burden, it should ponder why the statues of girl sexual slave have been erected. Japan's denial of the sexual slavery crime and insult to the victims only show its moral vulgarity and shamelessness. |
