Rodong Sinmun Blasts Japan's Military Buildup for Reinvasion
Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- Japan, whose military budget reached 5.1911 trillion yen in the 2018 fiscal year, is about to spend 5.2986 trillion yen for its arms buildup in the 2019 fiscal year.

Such an increase in military expenditure is just aimed to launch reinvasion, rather than for defense, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in an article.

The article goes on:

The Asia-Pacific region, with a large population, rich natural resources and tremendous development potentials, has become the center of the world.

Japan, which seeks to realize the old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere", regards the region as a vital one. But its purpose to seize the military edge and establish an order for dominating the region is impossible to come true now that regional powers are getting stronger day by day.

So, the Japanese reactionaries are trying to contain those countries by gaining supremacy of muscle through arms buildup.

Japan, buoyed by its military muscle, worked out a strategy for free and opened India-Pacific in a bid to pressurize the regional powers by force and put the region under its control. The backbone of the strategy is to strengthen the military nexus with such countries as the U.S. and Australia under the signboard of keeping the maritime order and thus lay a siege to the regional powers.

Then what is the first target of Japan's scenario for reinvasion? It is just the Korean peninsula as was in the past century.

Japan seeks to occupy the peninsula and advance into the continent with it as a springboard.

The Japanese reactionaries' arms buildup is stoking the armament race among the countries in the region and disturbing the peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region and other parts of the world.
