It was co-sponsored by the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea and the Management Bureau for the Shoe-making Industry under the Ministry of Light Industry.

Presented to it were tens of thousands of products by 60-odd units from across the country as well as dozens of valuable sci-tech papers.

More than 150 000 people visited the exhibition, where shoes presented by the Wonsan Shoes Factory, the Ryuwon Footwear Factory, etc. were in high consumer demand.

Various papers were highly appraised at the presentation of sci-tech successes.

Present at the closing ceremony were Vice-Premier Ri Ju O, Minister of Light Industry Choe Il Ryong, officials concerned, officials of the units which sent their goods to the exhibition, researchers, technicians, teachers, postgraduates, members of the Three Revolution Team and workers.
