It is said that fishery stations and marine transport companies have gained clear economic effectiveness in preventing nighttime collision between ships thanks to the application of LED signal lamps.

In this regard, Pak Kyong Il, section chief of the center, told KCNA:

The LED signal lamp plays an important role for ships on a voyage or at work.

It is strong in the intensity of light and low in production cost for having plastic condenser system applied to individual LED chip, and free from getting rusty for having no evaporation coating on its reflecting surface.

As its components are made with thermoplastic resin, it is vibration-proof and needs no outer waterproof device.

It safely works at 12-24 direct current voltages.

Its tone index and light intensity according to ship size conforms to the international regulations for preventing maritime collision.
