While inspecting the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, Pak Pong Ju gave a pep talk to the workers and technical personnel conducting the vigorous drive for increased production, and underlined the need to produce more oxygen and Juche iron and at the same time improve its quality.

Pak Pong Ju visited the Ranam Coal-mining Machine Complex and the Chongjin Steel Plant, where he discussed the issues arising in effecting a surge in the production of coal-mining equipment and producing more Juche iron.

Inspecting the construction sites of Phalhyang dam of Orangchon Power Station and Yombunjin Hotel, he took the measures to accelerate the construction projects and build quality structures.
