17 cases of sexual assaults have been reportedly confirmed by the joint investigation group of south Korea comprising the Ministry of Women and Families and the "Human Rights Committee."

Many women were even sexually tortured by the troops at that time for the reason that they took part in the uprising, the investigation group claimed.
