Jozef Servista, deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party who doubles as chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association and chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events including meeting, seminar and film show on the occasion of the anniversary of Kim Jong Il's demise.
