Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a commentary brands this as a reckless act of the Japanese reactionary ruling quarters to revive the departed soul of militarism for overseas expansion.

The commentary goes on:

It is designed to imbue the Japanese people with an idea that the war criminals are the "heroes" and "patriots" who fought for the sake of the country. The Japanese reactionaries think that the visit to the shrine to put forward and praise the war criminals leads the Japanese people to worship and follow them so that the revanchism can be prevalent in the society. That's why they paid a group visit to the shrine to describe the death of the war criminals as the "sacrifice to peace and prosperity of Asia and Japan" and revive the departed soul of militarism.

This is meant to represent the days when Japan invaded Asia talking about the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere".

The countries that truly want peace and prosperity of Asia should view with rising alarm the Japanese reactionaries' desperate moves for overseas expansion.
