Present at the inaugural meeting were organizations of all social strata including the Media Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration, the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the Council of Bereaved Families for the Nation and Democracy and the Solidarity for Progress of south Korea, and bereaved families of ferry Sewol disaster.

A declaration was read out there.

The declaration said that the "Way to Peace" was an organization for building a peaceful world on this land.

It said the organisation will make active efforts to lead the peace on the Korean peninsula to peace and co-prosperity in the whole of Northeast Asia.
