Recycling of Urban Waste Gains Momentum in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- The recycling of urban waste has been pushed forward in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

According to Kim Sun Chol, an official of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, ten waste treatment factories were built in the suburbs of Pyongyang.

Each factory equipped with classification and crushing processes will produce fertilizers and blocks by treating myriads of tons of wastes a year.

They are planning to produce fuel for transporting waste.

Two years ago, a waste treatment factory in Ryokpho District went into operation to produce tens of tons of fertilizers and hundreds of blocks every day.

The recycling of urban waste will make the life environment clean and gain economic profits.
