It was held under the co-sponsorship of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea, divided into such panels as afforestation, forest conservancy, IT-based forestry and machine-based forestry.

The venue had many exhibits and papers presented by scientists, technical personnel, teachers, three-revolution team members and others in the fields of science, education and forestry in the fields of education and science and forestry including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the State Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Forestry.

There were also presentation and workshop during the exhibition.

A closing ceremony took place Friday.

Attending it were O Su Yong, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Ryong Nam, vice-premier of the Cabinet, and officials concerned.
