Ratification of Panmunjom Declaration Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- A peace council of South Kyongsang Province of south Korea comprising civic and public organizations and political parties for peace and reunification held a press conference at the provincial office on November 8 to say that they will send questionnaire to lawmakers of the "National Assembly" requiring their yes or no over the NA ratification of the Panmunjom Declaration, according to the south Korean Yonhap News.

The organization said that for NA to ratify and legalize the declaration, a national promise for peace, prosperity and reunification, is a requirement of the people.

It stressed that it would stage a demonstration outside the offices of the lawmakers who oppose or refuse to respond to the ratification.
