President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il with the insight into the importance of the publication exchange and cooperation among countries indicated the principled issues to be maintained in the publications export and import as required by the developing revolution, basic task and ways and led the work in every stage and each time.

Over the past seven decades, the Korea Publications Export and Import Corporation has disseminated more than 52 million copies of a total of 170,000 kinds of publications to other countries and organized more than 50 significant Korean book exhibitions.

It also put the dissemination of many kinds of publications on a regular base to contribute to the development of the country and cultural and emotional life of the people.

A meeting marking the anniversary took place on Monday.
