Seminar of Social Scientists Held

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- A seminar of social scientists took place at the Grand People's Study House Tuesday on the lapse of 100 years since Kim Hyong Jik, an indomitable revolutionary fighter, composed the song "Green Pine on Nam Hill". Present at the seminar were Ri Hye Jong, president of the Academy of Social Sciences, teachers, researchers, lecturers, journalists, editors and officials in the fields of science, education, literature and arts, media and preservation of revolutionary relics. The seminar heard papers explaining the revolutionary spirit, ardent patriotism, anti-Japanese idea and the far-reaching will for liberation of the country reflected on the song. Speakers said that the revolutionary essence of the idea and spirit of the song is the transparent idea of national independence that the destiny of the country and nation should be carved out by the strength of the Korean nation, not by the help of foreign forces. It also represents an indomitable revolutionary spirit calling for fighting against the enemy at any cost for freedom and liberation of the people and the idea of continuous revolution for bringing a bright world to the 3,000-ri land of Korea by waging struggle through generations, they said. They explained that the idea and spirit of the song served as an ideological and moral source that made President Kim Il Sung found the immortal Juche idea and put the Korean revolution on the orbit of independence. The speakers stressed the need to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche through generations, cherishing the idea and spirit of the song. |
