Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations of south Korea launched a struggle in demand of a drastic cut in the expenses for the upkeep of the U.S. forces, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News. The Center for Peace and Disarmament of the Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society in a commentary on Nov.13 claimed a sharp cut in the expenses for the upkeep of the U.S. forces. The organization denounced the U.S. for forcing south Korea to heavily expand its share before the negotiation for a special agreement on sharing the expenses for the upkeep of the U.S. forces. South Korea has so far born a large amount of expenses under various pretexts apart from the upkeep of the U.S. forces, the organization said. On the same day, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification held a press conference as well as a rally at the Kwanghwamun Plaza of Seoul and slashed at the U.S. demand for increased expenses for the upkeep of the U.S. forces. |
