Lyudmil Kostadinov, chief of the Bulgarian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events like remembrance meeting, seminar and film show praising Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of his demise.
