Speakers at the events in Bulgaria praised Kim Jong Il as a prominent leader who dedicated himself to the people, saying it was one of his greatest exploits that he firmly defended socialism in the period of ordeals unprecedented in history.

Thanks to his Songun politics, the DPRK could demonstrate to the world its might as an invincible socialist fortress, they noted, adding his august name will always be remembered by not only the Korean people but also other progressive peoples in the world.

A vice-general secretary of the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran said in the round-table talks that Kim Jong Il made great contributions to achieving the prosperity of the country and happiness of its people and to developing the friendly relations between the two countries and accomplishing the cause of global peace. The Iranian people are highly praising his noble career and undying exploits, the vice-general secretary stressed.
