Among them are the development and introduction of database, which helps estimate the training degree and competition ability on the basis of measurements of power of locomotion of athletes, and a program for choosing reserves. They make it possible to put the instruction and training on a higher scientific basis.

There are also a new system for analyzing the weightlifting technique and supporting the instruction and training, which is helpful to estimating records according to the degree of physical development, and the development of new instruments for measuring the springing ability, strength and balancing capability.

Besides, the shock brigade developed and manufactured the measuring apparatuses for indoor canoe imitation training and a portable device for measuring in real time physiological indexes of athletes during their training.

The brigade comprises teachers, researchers and technicians of Kim Il Sung University, the State Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Sports Science, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Computer Science, Korea University of Physical Education and other units.
