L. Shukolinikov, chairman of the Permanent Standing Committee of the Belarus National Association of Friends of Korean People Named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il through media and hold political and cultural events such as a remembrance meeting on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of his demise.
