Marijann Kubik, international secretary of the New Yugoslav Communist Party, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from November 19 to December 18 and decided to hold political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career of Chairman Kim Jong Il in the period.
