Suga's Anti-DPRK Rubbish under Fire: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan Suga, who had been appointed as minister for Abduction Issue following a recent government reshuffle, spouted a load of rubbish vie the internet, causing consternation in the public. He said that he has engaged in the issue of north Korea since he became a member of the House of Representatives and that he took the lead in putting an embargo on the DPRK ship Mangyongbong-92 and withdrawing the measure for reducing the taxes for the fixed properties of the facilities under the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). He also pointed out that he was the very man who inveigled the U.S. into the campaign against the DPRK and Chongryon and pledged to concentrate all efforts on the settlement of the "abduction issue" by intensifying sanctions and pressure upon the DPRK in cooperation with outside forces in the future, too. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday comments that what Suga said is a loathsome remark by a political rogue and a clear revelation of Japan's anti-DPRK and anti-Chongryon policies - a fatal disease of its politics. The commentary says that Suga became chief Cabinet secretary as he has involved in persecuting officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan with hostility towards the DPRK. He is a prototype of the immorality and shamelessness of islanders, it notes, and goes on: The misbehavior of the islanders is nothing but a poor wriggle of those who run counter to the trend of the times with the desperate efforts for turning Japan into a military giant and for overseas expansion only to find themselves isolated and face the daily-growing accusations of the international community. It's ridiculous for Suga and other reactionaries of Japan to provoke the DPRK with inveterate bad habit, unaware of the present world situation. The guys who engage themselves in power-backed political terrorism stoking hostility towards the DPRK and Chongryon in a bid to realize their dirty political goal will not escape merciless punishment. |
