A kimchi show and kimchi-making demonstrations were held, divided into the service sector under ministries and national institutions, public service sector, external service sector, public catering sector in Pyongyang, provincial (municipalities) public catering sector and the sector of Pyongyang city women's union.

Kimchi wrapped in large cabbage leaves, kimchi made without red pepper presented by the Moran Guidance Bureau and Pyongyang Hotel and leaf-mustard kimchi and cabbage kimchi presented by North Hamgyong Province and the women's union committee of Rangnang District drew public favor.

Cooks from Okryu Restaurant, Chongryu Restaurant, Kyonghung Guidance Bureau and the Myohyang Guidance Bureau demonstrated their good skills in making whole cabbage kimchi, watery raddish kimchi, Chonggak kimchi (pickled young radishes) and sliced radish kimchi.
