Photo Exhibition Marks Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's Visit to Vietnam

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition opened at the Vietnamese embassy here on Thursday to mark the 60th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's visit to Vietnam. On display were photos showing the exploits of President Kim Il Sung together with President Ho Chi Minh in providing and developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Vietnam. Present at an opening ceremony were Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is chairman of the DPRK-Vietnam Friendship Association, officials concerned, Ambassador Le Ba Binh and officials of the Vietnamese embassy. Speakers at the ceremony said the significant meeting between President Kim Il Sung and President Ho Chi Minh was a historic event for expanding and developing the relations between the two parties and two countries. They noted that the photo exhibition would help know better about the history and traditions of the friendship between the two countries. That day a reception was hosted by the Vietnamese embassy on the same occasion. |
