In view of the accusation against So Kang Won, former chief of staff of the Defense Security Command, by the military prosecution, Ri Jae Su, former commander, ordered to make an investigation into the family particulars, private life and words and acts of the bereaved families after the happening of disaster in April 2014.

On Nov. 6, the special investigation team of the Defense Ministry issued the result of its investigation that the command organized a secret body to check the public opinion unfavorable to the Park Geun Hye regime and investigated the bereaved families of the victims.
