In November Juche 102 (2013), Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the university and advanced the task for bringing about a drastic turn in education as required by the developing reality.

Over the past five years, the university newly arranged more than 20 school subjects and created 200-odd teaching methods.

And it has directed big efforts to the education in architectural designing, including computer-based 5D designing, interior and structure designing of buildings and furniture designing, and to the art education for developing students' idea in space and their sense of shape, comparison and color.

In the course it produced tens of university student scientific research prize winners and honor students' classes.

Those students completed over 3 760 pieces of designs to greatly contribute to building the Sci-Tech Complex, Pyongyang International Airport, the Pyongyang Bag Factory and other objects as monumental edifices.

They are now devoting their creative wisdom to the designing for sprucing up Samjiyon County and building the Wonsan-Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.
