It was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Public Health and the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

On display at the exhibition are products, charts and models of over 3,000 scientific achievements presented by more than 250 units in the fields of public health and education and other relevant fields.

During the event there will be a sci-tech presentation.

Attending the ceremony were Ri Ryong Nam, vice-premier of the Cabinet; Choe Tong Myong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea; Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission; Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences; Ri Chung Gil, chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology, officials concerned and officials of the units which presented the exhibits.

A speech was made at the ceremony.

Medical equipment and appliances, IT goods, medical supplies and health foodstuffs drew the attention of the visitors.

The exhibition will continue till December 7.
