The provocative "resolution" is reportedly expected to be adopted at the UN General Assembly due this month.

What matters is that the south Korean authorities took part in cooking up the "resolution."

In this regard Minju Joson Saturday comments that the reckless act of the south Korean authorities amounts to dancing to the tune of outsiders working hard to sow discord among Koreans.

The commentary goes on:

It disappoints the Korean people desirous of the epoch-making development of the north-south relations and earlier independent reunification based on national independence and unity.

As recognized at home and abroad, such a "resolution" which the hostile forces fabricate in the UN arena is product of the sinister and infantile politically-motivated plot to violate the sovereignty of the DPRK and impair its dignity and torpedo its social system.

The double-dealing and wrong act of the south Korean authorities who sit together with the fellow countrymen with smile and then resort to the base conspiracy to hurt them, is an unreasonable act as it runs counter to the spirit of the historic Panmunjom Declaration and the "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration" which affirmed the principle of national independence that the Korean nation determines its own destiny by itself.

If the south Korean authorities truly want the national reconciliation and unity and peace and prosperity, they should not be played in the hands of foreign forces pursuing the national estrangement policy, but take the independent stand to resolve all the problems in conformity with their own view and in conformity with the will and interests of the nation.

If the south Korean authorities act without their own view at an important time when the north and the south should pave a broad avenue for the improvement of the inter-Korean ties with the concerted efforts, they would raise an axe only to bring it down on their own foot.
