Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to Chairman Kim Jong Il's exploits for socialist construction, national reunification and global independence through media and hold political and cultural events including a remembrance meeting and film show from November 23 to December 17.
