The message expressed pleasure at the great successes made by the Lao government and people in the efforts for implementing the decision of the 10th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and carrying out the eighth five-year plan of social economic development under the correct guidance of the LPRP.

Expressing the belief that the traditional and fine relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would further develop in various fields, the message wished the Lao prime minister bigger success in his work for the country's development.

On the same day DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho sent a similar message to his Lao counterpart Saleumxay Kommasith.
