Ristiyanto, general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from Nov. 26 to Dec. 17 and decided to hold political and cultural events praising the noble career and exploits of Kim Jong Il in the period.
