Rodong Sinmun Blasts Japan for Crying Out for Reform to UNSC
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The Japanese representative at the UN, at a recent session of the UN General Assembly, expressed the dissatisfaction at a delay in the reform of the UN Security Council and cried out for accelerating the discussion about the reform. The Japanese chief executives, at every opportunity, said that if Japan becomes a UNSC permanent member, it will fulfill the responsibility.

In this regard, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday comments that insistence on a reform to the UNSC by Japan is audacious remarks of ill-mannered persons.

The commentary continues:

If Japan becomes a UNSC permanent member, the UN would further lose impartiality as it has not raised its own view whenever there happened serious events in the international arena.

Japan is an aggression and war criminal state which inflicted untold misfortune and suffering on the people of Korea and other Asian nations in the past.

Despite its worst unethical crimes, Japan has never felt the responsibility for them.

Japan is the only country which denies and distorts the past crimes.

Japan does not dream of peace but overseas aggression.

Japan's bid to be a permanent member nation of the UNSC is aimed at creating an international climate in favor of overseas expansion and reinvasion.

The political dwarf Japan which failed to shake off the ill-fame of a war criminal state tries to take the responsible post in the international body. It is a mockery and challenge to mankind.

Japan would be well advised to give up its foolish dream and do what it should do.
