Minju Joson Discloses Japan's Moves for Usurping Tok Island
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson Wednesday in a commentary condemns the Japanese reactionaries' recent moves to usurp Tok Island.

According to the commentary, the Japanese foreign ministry said that Japan "could never allow" the recent visit made by south Korean politicians to the island, strongly protesting against it and demanding the prevention of recurrence. Prior to this, the gentries of the Japan Liberal Democratic Party at a joint meeting of the committees including the "special commission in charge of territory" urged the government to take a thorough measure to secure Japan's dominium over Tok Island, setting up an institution for settling the island issue and boosting activities for investigation into waters around it.

The commentary says that the Japanese reactionaries' impudent moves for usurping Tok Island would be unthinkable without their bid to turn Japan into a military giant and ambition for reinvasion.

The greatest political purpose of Abe is to cast off disgrace of the predecessors' defeat in the war and the yoke of the defeated nation and take the road for overseas expansion again.

The Japanese reactionaries are making desperate efforts to grab Tok Island and mislead the international public opinion. It is aimed to deceive the public at home and abroad and make a pretext for reinvasion of the Korean peninsula by spreading the rumor that Tok Island is a disputed area.

As proved by history and recognized by the world, Tok Island is part of the inviolable territory of the Korean nation.

No matter what honeyed word and desperate effort the Japanese reactionaries may make, Japan's dominium over Tok Island has never remained nor can exist.
