Ivan Draxler, chairman of the Slovak Association for Supporting and Studying the Juche Idea and chairman of the Slovakia-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of his demise.
