DPRK Embassy in Vietnam Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Vietnam gave a reception on December 3 to mark the 60th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's visit to Vietnam.

Invited to the reception were figures of political parties, government, ministries, organizations and institutions of Vietnam including the Communist Party, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, the Academy of Social Sciences, Ho Chi Minh Museum and Newspaper Nhan Dan.

Attending it were the ambassador and officials of the DPRK embassy.

Speeches were made there.

Tran Thanh Man, secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and president of the C.C., Fatherland Front of Vietnam, said that the traditional relations of friendship between the DPRK and Vietnam was provided and cultivated with much effort by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung.

He went on:

Ho Chi Minh's visit to DPRK and Kim Il Sung's visit to Vietnam served as a firm cornerstone for the development of bilateral relations.

I was very pleased to take part in the celebrations for the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK as the head of the party and state delegation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

I am convinced that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and two countries will continue to grow stronger in conformity with the aspiration and interests of the peoples of the two countries and contribute to promoting regional peace, stability and development.
