During the tours of the Sinuiju Textile Mill, the Sinuiju Streptomycin Factory and the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill, Pak underscored the need to spruce them up as they are the units associated with the leadership exploits of the Party, step up technical modernization of equipment on the basis of science and technology and steadily improve the quality of products.

At the consultative meetings during his inspection of the Rakwon Machine Complex, the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory and the Ponghwa Chemical Factory, Pak stressed the need to concentrate all efforts on the struggle for fulfilling this year's national economic plan and remodel the equipment and production processes into technology-intensive and labor-saving ones and called on relevant fields for taking concrete measures to supply necessary raw and other materials to them.
