The slogan means that the Korean people should think and act in their own right mind as required by the Juche idea and solve all the problems arising in the revolution and construction by their own efforts in keeping with their interests and the realities of the country.

Over the past years, the Korean people have keenly realized that the way of living their own way guarantees the independent dignity of the country and the nation and the eternal well-being for all generations to come.

Upholding this revolutionary slogan, they strengthened the political and ideological base of Korean-style socialism in every way and glorified the 1970s and 1980s with the great heyday in the era of the Workers' Party.

As they firmly established Juche in the revolution and construction and held fast to their own revolutionary way, they could unflinchingly defend socialism when it collapsed in various countries, and overcome harsh difficulties of the Arduous March, the forced march.

Thanks to the struggle of the Korean people who are invariably advancing in their own faith under the banner of socialism, the strongest national defence capabilities were provided and great successes have been made in the socialist economic construction.

The Korean people will vigorously advance towards the final victory of building a powerful socialist nation, holding higher the slogan "Let Us Live Our Own Way!", the long-range strategy of the Korean revolution.
