HE Kim Jong Il performed immortal exploits in fortifying the DPRK as an invincible socialist bulwark, achieving the reunification of the country and ensuring peace and security on the Korean peninsula.

Thanks to his wise leadership the DPRK could display its dignity as a politico-ideological power and military power.

The great exploits of HE Kim Jong Il have been further glorified by HE Kim Jong Un.

The chairperson of the Iceland-DPRK Friendly and Cultural Society said that Kim Jong Il's demise left the pain of great loss in the hearts of the Korean people and the world progressives, adding that he was a great revolutionary who devoted all his life to the prosperity of socialist Korea.

He, who performed immortal feats for the reunification of Korea and the global independence, is always alive as a peerless patriot and benevolent father in the minds of mankind, the chairperson said.

Speakers including a spokesperson for the Workers' Party for the Independence of Senegal who is a member of its Political Bureau highly praised Kim Jong Il for making the journey of revolutionary leadership on behalf of the country and people day and night all his life.
