Meetings of Chongryon Call for Brisk Emulation Campaign among Branches

Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the branches of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) in the eastern Japanese region took place at the Korean Hall in Tokyo and a meeting of the Chongryon branches in the western Japanese region at the hall of the Osaka Headquarters of Chongryon for organizing a campaign for setting models among the Chongryon branches to help one overtake another and learn from others.

Present at the meetings were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, members of the Central Standing Committee, leading officials of the central leadership bodies of Chongryon, chairmen of Chongryon Headquarters and chairpersons of Chongryon branches.

Chairman Hong Jong Man made a report at the meetings.

He said the important task facing the officials of Chongryon is to embody in the movement of the Koreans in Japan the idea of the New Year greetings sent by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, his congratulatory message to the 24th Congress of Chongryon and the congratulatory message sent by him on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

He called on the entire organization to strenuously conduct a collective campaign for helping one overtake another and learning from others and for swapping experience amid a high-pitch emulation campaign among the branches.

Officials of the model units took the floor to inform their experience.
